After a particularly bad sleepless night on Thursday night, my husband thought that maybe if I exercised, it would help me sleep. I told him that I didn't really feel like exercising, but that he was probably right. "Do you want me to make you go to the Y?", he asked. "Yes", I replied. I went and did my thirty minutes on the treadmill.
That night, I managed to fall asleep after each and every time I got up to pee. Woke up at 8 AM feeling well rested. Hallelujah.
Saturday we were quite busy with a variety of things so I never exercised. Saturday night, I was up at 2 AM to pee, tossed and turned until 3, went downstairs and watched Breakfast at Tiffany's until 5:30 AM. I love that movie and was about to start wearing hats and cutting itty-bitty bangs. Thankfully, I fell back asleep before I found the scissors.
Then last night, I got home from a baby shower and went to the Y. Ran for 35 minutes and had the best night's sleep that I have had in a long time.
It could be a fluke, but I hope it keeps up! This might be the single biggest motivator I have ever had to exercise.
yay for sleep! hope it keeps up!
