Princess Aurora I am Not

Cinderella had Midnight as the witching hour - I currently have 2:00 AM as my time to rise and shine. My hopes to star as Sleeping Beauty last night were dashed. Prince Charming (aka The Hubs) was away in IA on business and I was excited to have a whole big bed to myself to stretch and contort my body into the unusual positions that are now commonplace. The hardest thing for me to adjust to is side sleeping. I was a back sleeper. When pregnant, they recommend you sleep on your side, your left side at that. I cannot get comfortable on either side, but especially not my left side. I have recently tried to get creative with pillow placement and that seems to be helping some. However, at 2 AM I was up. At 2:30, I turned on the computer. I was a little sleepy after cleaning out my Google Reader so I tried to go back to sleep. At 3:15, I watched another episode of Mad Men.

Toss and Turn. Toss and Turn..jacknife right leg across the bed. The last time i checked the clock it was 6:15. At 6:50 my alarm woke me up. CURSES!

I have a doctor appointment Monday so you can bet that insomnia will be my number one concern.

  1. I had major issues sleeping on my side. Even if I tried, I would wake up on my back. I finally gave up and slept on my back till the end.

  2. Sleeping on my side was really hard for me, too. FWIW, I don't really think it is that important... I know so many who don't! Nate might hate me for this, but I LOVED this

Sorta pricey, but seriously the most comfortable thing ever. It is manageable in a queen size bed. I liked that it was U shaped, so when I turned over I wouldn't have to flip the pillow. Seriously, I wish I was still sleeping with this thing it was totally worth it!
