As we journey to Trimester 2, I simply must say Girls Rule!

At the beginning of the month, I was waxing poetically about my darling husband. I still think he is awesome, but I want to give a shout out to the girlfriends with this post. Thank you JMN, AMW, BLK for listening to me whine over the phone and in person this past week. Thank you MBAMMPHPA, AH & CD for your great emails of encouragement. Thank you CH for agreeing that people say the dumbest things to you when you are pregnant. Thank you SU for agreeing with me that Don Draper is the sexiest man alive (well besides my husband of course) and thank you BCK for letting me be jealous of a his beatnik girlfriend, a television character. I do not know what I would do without girlfriends!!!! I love you all!

As for things in pregnancy land, another night of interrupted sleep. 1:30-4:00 this morning were spent filling out The Belly Book and watching 2 episodes of Mad Men. Today also marks the beginning of the 2nd trimester, at 13 weeks and 3 days. I actually felt kind of dumb about this but I asked my doctor, "When does the second trimester actually start because some books say Week 13 and some say Week 14?". He responded, gestationally, it's at 13 1/2 weeks which is why some say week 13 and some week 14. So the day has finally arrived. I don't really feel that different but I did buy one of those belly bands for my work pants. I haven't tried it out yet and haven't even taken it out of the package because it still sort of freaks me out. TGIF because I can wear jeans to work and my Uniqlo skinnnys are still the most comfortable pants I own (aka they still fit).

I have to take one final belly picture tonight marking 13 weeks but then my first trimester album will be complete. We have been taking two pictures (one front view, one side view) every week since week 5. I don't know that I'll be posting them on here since I have tried to keep this anonymous and only give the link out to a few people. If you want the belly pictures, email me.
