Random pregnancy thoughts

My friend CD sent me the Shiva Rae Gaiam Prenatal Yoga DVD. I did it for the first time last night. Boy did it feel good. I felt like it loosened up every tight little knot in my back. One thing I am NOT good at is the kegel exercise portion of the dvd. You are suppossed to pretend you are in an elevator and stopping at the first second third floor going up and then stopping at each floor on the way back down with them. Try it - it is difficult! The video at first made me laugh because there is Skinny Shiva leading the workout and then behind her is Brita, in her second trimeseter, and then Poppy, in her third trimester. All three women are wearing these full length spandex unitard things. Overall I thought it was a great DVD. Someone else recommended the Jennifer Wolfe Prenatal Yoga DVD. I am picking that one up from the library tonight to try out. Just based on last night, I highly recommend yoga if you are pregnant! Wowsa.

I also was excited to get a 30% off reward code for Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, etc. I ordered a bunch of maternity dresses and shirts. (Still staying away from pants!). My impression of maternity clothes so far is that you are stuck with basically the same style of shirt - sure they change some ruching areas but basically there are not many options. My favorite shirts so far have been from target - the basic long sleeve T shirts (which are currently on clearance) and I also got this t shirt with cute ruching on the bodice and sleeves for 96 cents. I wish there had been a variety of colors with it because I love it so much. But for 96 cents, you can't really complain too much.

I haven't returned to wearing my belly band after Monday. I basically wore skirts or leggings for the rest of the week and today I'm still rocking my Uniqlo skinny jeans. I keep praying that these things will fit me for a few more weeks as they are basically what I wear Friday - Sunday. I suppose eventually they will get replaced by the Heidi Klum skinny jeans.

When we moved our extra bed downstairs for the guestroom, I took the down duvet into our room and made a makeshift pregnancy "pillow" out of it to sleep on. It has greatly improved my comfort at night.

I spoke with my friend CP last night on the phone. She asked me if I am always aware of the fact that I am pregnant or if I sometimes forget. I responded that I am aware of it 100% of the time at this point. I thought that might go away - like I was aware of it all the time in the beginning because it was so new and exciting, but nope - I am pretty much in the zone.
