Evil Insomnia. The week before last, I had the audacity to think that things were improving in the sleep department. Week 15 was the best sleep I had had since Week 7. I should have known it was going to be short lived. Daylight savings time brought a nice little treat (heavy sarcasm) back to my life - the restless nights. Sigh. Saturday evening was the worst night of sleep I have had yet. 2 AM - 6 AM awake. I'm not sure what time I actually fell back asleep - 6 AM is just the time I crawled back in bed after reading a lot of back issues of Southern Living and finishing Baby Bargains. After that, I started researching cloth diapers. Holy toledo. If there is one thing I have realized is that people like to make things more complicated than they could be. Maybe cloth diaper research at 5 AM isn't the best idea!
Last night I slept in a giant king sized bed at a hotel since we took a nice little getaway. I was looking forward to getting a really good night's sleep in the luxury linens. It was only ok. Our getaway included a gift certificate for dinner which came with a bottle of wine. I asked the waiter not to pour me a glass. He sort of refused to not pour me a glass so I told him I was pregnant. That didn't really change things, "Well, you can still have a glass", he replied. Hmmm. Interesting. I put enough wine on my tongue to taste it but barely had enough to swallow. That was it. Alcohol and pregnancy makes me nervous. Therefore my husband got an entire bottle to himself. He slept like a rock :)
