This weekend we saw my niece, T. She will be 4 in less than 3 weeks! My brother told me that she has been asking about our baby recently because one of his friends just had a baby on Friday and it was a boy. T was NOT happy that the baby turned out to be a boy. So she told my brother that my husband and I were having a girl baby named Olivia. After quizzing her this weekend, she informed us that if the baby is a boy, then she wouldn't hold it or play with it. ha ha ha.
T also asked me when I was going to have the baby. "In August - a long time from now." Knowing she probably didn't really know how far away that was, I said, "The baby has to grow in my tummy" (we let her push on my belly). "You used to be in your mom's belly too for a while and we all had to wait for you to come out." I should have just stopped at "the baby has to grow in my tummy" line because then T replied, "Yeah and in August, I'm going to go back into my mom's tummy".
WHAT?! Where did that come from?! Oh boy. I don't know that Aunt A gets to have the baby talk with T anymore!
